spoga+gafa
Cologne, Germany

2-4 September 2012
Garden & Leisure spoga

Germany is Europe’s largest market for garden products.  Worth over €10 billion, it accounts for almost 30% of all the garden products sold in the EU.  With over 20 million gardens, Germany, along with France, is a leading market for exports of garden products from the UK.

Spoga+gafa is the largest international trade show for the garden and leisure sector.  Spoga features garden leisure products such as furniture, grills and barbecues, sports and games, camping and equestrian products.  Gafa focuses on all functional and decorative products for the garden; from tools, plant care and watering equipment to garden ornaments, lighting and florists' supplies. Gafa was only biennial for several years but both gafa and spoga are now taking place annually again.

In 2011 spoga+gafa attracted 1,744 exhibitors from 57 countries and 36,000 trade visitors of whom 59% came from outside Germany. Visitors include buyers from garden centres, DIY stores, agricultural co-ops/country stores, supermarkets, department stores, mail-order and internet sales companies, and specialists such as garden furniture stores and garden machinery dealers.  Many distributors and wholesalers also visit the event and some exhibit there.

Spoga+gafa is truly international.  Apart from a huge German audience, the show is the main event for leading buyers from across central Europe, Benelux and Scandinavia.  Recently, increasing numbers from France, the Mediterranean countries, Eastern Europe and Russia have visited the show. Key UK retailers also attend.
